Saving Lives Through Education
Marshall Fire Fighters Ambulance Authority supports the facilitation of the highest level of learning to ensure the best care possible for our patients. We do so by our affiliation with Kellogg Community College, which hosts one of the finest EMS educational curriculums in the country. MAFFAA is also a training site for Kellogg Community College, hosting AHA and Medical First Responder Courses (MFR/EMR) courses at our facility in Marshall. Several of our employees are also adjunct instructors at Kellogg Community College and are fully vested in our future healthcare providers.

We offer scholarships for our EMT's who desire to further their education and become Paramedics.
Paramedic to Critical Care Paramedic Scholarships
Scholarships are also available for Paramedics who wish to elevate their career to becoming a Critical Care Paramedic.

In affiliation with Kellogg Community College, MAFFAA provides continually scheduled AHA (American Heart Association) courses, including Heartsaver, BLS (Basic Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), & PALS (Pediatric Life Support) classes.

We also hold continuing education classes here at our facility for all levels of EMS providers.
​
Under the auspices of Kellogg Community College, MAFFAA is also host to Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses.

This month's subjects include chest injuries & basic airway management. Each hour long session will award attendees with 1 credit each for Trauma & Airway Management/Ventilation.

Subjects for the March CE sessions include Musculoskeletal Injury & Pediatric Musculoskeletal Injury. Each hour long session will award attendees with 1 credit each for Trauma & Special Considerations, Pediatric Trauma.
